Creamy White Speckled Mug Hancrafted Stoneware Made in USA
$40.00 Sold out
This rustic mug was hand thrown and trimmed on my pottery wheel using a brown speckled stoneware clay. It was bisque fired and glazed with a white glaze that has a very soft blue hue and allows the natural speckles of the clay to show through. It was then high fired in my electric kiln.
For months I searched the internet to find a clay that has this depth of speckling in it. This particular clay comes from Canada, and while it is more costly than the local clays I use, I believe it's worth it to be able to make special pieces like this.
This unique cup will compliment any rustic, primitive or minimalist decor.
Approximate size: 4" across the top rim and 3.5" high, holds approximately 13 ounces of liquid.
