This artful mug was hand thrown and trimmed on my pottery wheel using white stoneware clay, it was then covered with black underglaze, three dogs based on the beautiful german shepherd were carved. This method is called sgraffito. It was then bisque fired and glazed and high fired in my electric kiln.
Approximate size: 3.75" across the top rim and 3.75" high, holds approximately 14 ounces of liquid.
This is a special mug that should be used and enjoyed. While it is dishwasher and microwave safe, I would recommend hand washing when possible to limit the wear and tear that a dishwasher may have on such a special piece of art.
